What does a Mr. Twisty event cost?

Every event is different, so every event gets a custom quote. I'll be straight with you: I'm not the cheapest entertainer in the area, and I'm fine with that. If price is the only filter, you'll find someone who'll show up cheaper. If you want the right show for your room and a reliable pro — clean magician for 47 years, Mr. Twisty since 1997 — that's me. Tell me about your event — let's talk. I understand budgets. I've been doing this since back when bookings got written into a paper daytimer. We'll figure it out.

Where do you travel?

Based in Saratoga Springs, NY. For festivals and fairs I work all over the Northeast — New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and beyond. For birthday parties, I happily go anywhere within roughly 45 minutes of Saratoga Springs (a bit farther for a small extra travel fee). I've also worked LA, Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa, London, and 3 seasons at an amusement park in Nice, France. For the right gig, I'll go anywhere.

What's included in a typical show?

It depends on the format. Birthday parties: a 30-minute Super Silly Magic Show, a Penny appearance, balloon animals for every guest, plus the Birthday Buddy gift for the birthday child. Festivals: strolling balloon work, scheduled stage shows, or both. Corporate events: customized to the audience, age range, and venue. I'll walk you through exactly what fits when you reach out.

Does Penny come to every event?

Most events, yes. She has a fan club. If your venue restricts dogs or you're booking for a sensory-sensitive audience, ask — I'm happy to plan around it. She's the star, but I'm contractually allowed to perform without her.

Are you insured? Can you provide a W-9?

Yes and yes. Fully insured through Special Insurance Agency — certificate of insurance available on request. W-9 ready to send for corporate or municipal procurement. I'm also a BOCES Registered Cooperative Artist for school assemblies.

What's the booking process?

Reach out — through the form, by email at chadcurrin@gmail.com, or by calling 518-542-7959. Tell me what you're planning. I'll come back within 24 hours with availability and a quote. Once you confirm, I'll send a simple agreement and you're booked. Key dates book a year+ out — first come, first served.

How do I pay?

Cash, check (made out to Mr. Twisty), Venmo, CashApp, or tap-to-pay credit card (3% processing fee). Cash, check, or charge — the day of the event, upon completion. No invoicing on terms.

Do you do school assemblies?

Yes — at mrtwistyassemblies.com. 650+ school shows in 250+ schools across NY, NJ, and MA. Plus 4 years hosting the Radio Disney CDPHP MOVE IT! tour — over 100 schools and 250 performances on that program alone. BOCES Cooperative Artist; NY schools save 60–80% with BOCES funding. Standards-aligned. Curriculum guides included.

What's not in the show?

No fire. No smoke. No confetti. No animals besides Penny (well — there's a spring skunk and a rubber chicken, but those are props). No s
